Christiano Ronaldo’s rape accuser has been seen for the first time since going public with her claims of sexual assault against the footballing star.

Kathryn Mayorga was spotted near her family’s home on the outskirts of Sin City, Las Vegas, sporting dark shades, a floppy hat, a dark top, black jeans and high-heeled boots.

The 34-year-old was pictured with an unknown man and the pair walked with their arms around each other. This comes as her lawyer has warned the footballer that he faces a legal ‘dogfight’ over the allegations, daily mail reports.

The former school teacher alleges that she was raped by the Juventus player at his Las Vegas hotel room in June 2009.

After Miss Mayorga filed her civil lawsuit in September this year, Las Vegas police confirmed they had reopened their criminal investigation into the alleged sex assault.

The Juventus forward says the sex was consensual and denies any wrongdoing.

Ronaldo has been warned he faces a legal ‘dogfight’ over the rape claims, which could last the rest of his playing career.

The 33-year-old , stands accused of sexually assaulting Miss Mayorga, who has now quit her job as a teacher.

Her lawyers have vowed to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court if they need to.

In another previously unseen picture obtained by the MailOnline she can be seen as a fresh-faced 18-year-old during her senior year at Las Vegas High School in 2002.

Her lawyer Leslie Stovall said: ‘We will have a decision within four to six months whether this case survives.

‘If it doesn’t we will be up to the Supreme Court. If it does, we are off to the races.

‘The earliest any trial will go ahead is two to three years. For lawyers that’s quick – we work in geological time.’

Asked if he would be seeking an out of court settlement, Mr. Stovall added: ‘I don’t practice that way.

‘There are some lawyers whose focus is settlement, settlement, settlement.

‘We don’t discourage settlements but we are not waiting around for someone to walk in and say ‘Oh gosh, do you want to settle this case?’

‘We are preparing for trial, if you guys want to make an offer fine, if not that’s OK too. We will try the case.

Earlier this week Ronaldo (pictured) seemed in high spirits as he attended training with Juventus

‘I don’t need to settle the case. That is not what this is about. This is going to be a dogfight.

seemed to be on form as he kicked the ball around during a training session in Turin, Italy

‘These are the kinds of cases that should be litigated. When you think you have a client who needs help this is what you do.’

At the time of the alleged attack, Miss Mayorga had been a budding model at the age of 25, and part of her job had been to attend star studded parties.

The pair met in the VIP area of the Rain nightclub and it has been alleged that after the incident Ronaldo’s team had then hired a team of fixers to cover it up.

It had previously been reported that Miss Mayorga (left in floppy hat)  had left the US due to the media attention which followed after she had raised the claim that Ronaldo had assaulted her

She received a $375,000 hush payment in 2010 which she alleges she was coerced into signing.

Photos from that evening show Miss Mayorga standing close to Ronaldo and talking.

He is wearing a white shirt with a narrow black tie and she is in a light grey dress with gold jewellery.

Cristiano Ronaldo (left in white shirt) and Kathryn Mayorga (in grey dress) were pictured together in the VIP area of the RAIN night club in 2009 before the alleged assault had taken place

In the photos the pair seem to look relaxed, however within hours of the photos being taken there was speculation on who the mystery brunette was by his side.

The party was then alleged to have continued into the early hours in Ronaldo’s penthouse in the nearby Hotel Palms Place.

Earlier this year Ronaldo had tweeted regarding the case and said he denied all allegation, on October 3 2018 he said: ‘I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense.’

In October this year the footballer tweeted that he denied the accusations being issued against him

He then followed it up with a tweet that read: ‘My clear conscious will thereby allow me to await with tranquility the results of any and all investigations.’

At the beginning of October, it had been reported that Miss Mayorga had left the US and wanted to avoid the cameras due to her emotional state.

In a press conference given by her lawyer on October 3, Mr Stovall said that she had experienced a lot of problems following the alleged rape.

He later followed up with another tweet which said he had a clear concious surrounding the allegations

‘This is an individual who suffers from major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.

‘She has a lot of problems attributable to the 2009 sexual assault and it’s been very difficult for her over the last eight or nine years.

‘In dealing with Ms Mayorga and her family we have been particularly careful and mindful of her emotional state.’

It was also reported that she had only signed the original ‘hush contract’, as she was scared of the repercussions of defying a celebrity such as Ronaldo.

‘The reason why I signed the contract in the first place (was) because I didn’t want my name out there.

‘It’s a pretty famous guy. So I’m terrified. I’m scared.’

During an interview in September, her mother Cheryl described how the alleged attack had changed her daughter.

‘It’s never left her. Every day, she lives it,’ she says.

‘There were times when she would call me and he would be on a billboard or whatever, and she would just completely disintegrate. Having to walk into a store to get a pint of milk, and you’ve got his picture everywhere.

‘He’s the soccer god that everybody thinks is just perfect and flawless.  And she can’t even get out of bed some days.’
